Our Flag Day was originally scheduled for August 19, 2020 (Wednesday). In view of the latest development of COVID-19 pandemic situation, we have cancelled the selling of flags on the street after a careful and deliberate consideration. We sincerely thank our volunteers and organisations for their support in this event.

Flag Day is one of our core fundraising events of the year. We are facing great difficulties of raising funds for our services amid the cancellation of the selling of flags on the street. Therefore, we cordially invite you to kindly subscribe our “Gold flag Set” by making a donation. The proceeds will go to the aid of persons with disabilities or chronic illness and elderly in need.

To disseminate the message of “Promoting Social Inclusion, Building a Caring Society”, we have rolled out limited-edition gold flag sets with the theme of our six mascots, each represents a disability or health challenge that persons with disabilities are facing every day. Despite their difficulties, they are able to unleash their potentials in life and lead a fulfilling life full of dignity. We hereby invite you to kindly support them by subscribing our gold flag sets.

A donation of $100 or above

you will receive 1 gold flag set and 1 receipt.

A donation of $500 or above

you will receive 1 gold flag set, 1 receipt and 1 finger holder.

About Flag Day

“Promote social inclusiveness, build a caring society”

Founded in 1959, the Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation has been a pioneer in driving the development of rehabilitation. We provide services for persons in need, ranging from accessible transport and travel to rehabilitation and long-term care. We also champion the empowerment of persons with disabilities or health challenges, and promote self-help and mutual support which allow them to restore their potential and participate in the community, living a fulfilling life with dignity. Through research and advocacy, we cooperate with stakeholders from different sectors to promote the collaboration towards building an engaging, inclusive and caring society.

The Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation (HKSR) Flag Day will take place on 19 August 2020 (Wednesday) in the New Territories. The proceeds from the flag selling will be used to support people with disabilities or chronic illnesses and the elderly. Flag Day is not only a fundraising event for HKSR, but is also an opportunity to inspire Hong Kong citizens to care about others, and promote social inclusiveness.
